fruit flies are not to expensive. you might aswel buy them

or you could just get micro crickets?

Not a waste. They are the best food for most mantid nymphs.

Like Rick says, and if you want to save money, use fifty or so per pot to start your own cultures!

Hmm, it's always difficult when you only have a few. It's really difficult if you have only 1 mantis. Uhh.... go hunting? Good thing it's almost summer (in the northern hemisphere).
