Would spod Kamikazie?

as spod is hanging from the top is startled would he just let go in the hope of a leaf breaking his fall and escaping from predator?

if i spray the tank if he get hit woud he be startled and release?

those that handle their mantid do you do it when they are not hanging upside down? if you touched em upside down again would they realease and fall?

I've only seen wild mantids do that. After he gets used to you he may quit doing it.

my lineola just sits there and occassionaly the male will get in defense mode when you start squirting him.
