For a moment there, the 1st pic scared me. I thought all those scratches in the container were spider webs and you were giving the new borns to a spider nest! Then I thought "Wait a minute... Are the mantids walking on the web?!"

Then finally I got it: "Oohhh.... container scratches!"

Lol

So the male isnt mating cause hes old. Hes not eating anymore, and hes not moving much either. Grr.... I need a male. I thought he may last another month. RIP Red

thats true, but i have a lonely female from tammy, and i promised her a male after she was mated. Ill probably send her back ot something. I also want to share some of this batch with those that dont have them, but i think 20 ish nymphs is a pretty good sized breeding stock.

ya, one has died since the hatch, besides the others, and all of them are vacuuming up the fruit flies.

Beautiful mantids! Great photos. Nice to see the nymphs who hatched, they're always adorable when they first come out, so damn small.

Very cute! The whole story reminds me of 'Charlotte's Web'.

Your pictures of the adults are beautiful! I may have to get this breed... Can you tell me more about them and their care? (In an email, perhaps?)

Good luck with your little nymphs! They look beautiful and healthy!
