They sound interesting, but I have no idea hat they are! Could you give us a scientific name and/or a photo? Thanks!

These are ILLEGAL to keep in the U.S.
I googled some pix for you Phil.
that's a nice white male. Most males are dark brown with black markings... This one doesn't appear to be freshly molted, but what do I know about this species??
Heres a nice exmaple of an exceptional yellow female. Too bad these are only produced by spontaneous creationism! LOL

Name of this kind of phasmids is heteropteryx dilatata
My dear Brian, sorry but they are not illegal but You could think about legality of importing mantis and mantis ooths from Europe, Africa and other place to USA... I think the customs can do the same in both situation.
They are not coming from wild, they are from register culture of my friend.
