As the title says, my 1st of 4 laid ooths (Sybilla pretoisa) hatched today! Finally lol. It took me from the time when I bought ooths to the time when the hatchlings grew up and laid more ooths was a span of about 7-8 months. They are a VERY long living species lol. :) I forgot how loooonnnngg the L1 nymph legs were.

Sorry for the post, I'm just very excited! :D

Thanks guys. I'll be keeping most of the nymphs from this ooth and I'm sending the rest off to a person I owe them too. After that, I'll be selling the nymphs from the other ooths. B)

If anybody want pics of what they look like when older, visit my photobucket album for them: http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z254/AB...lla%20pretosia/

Takes patience and skill - you can be proud. I'd lke to give it a shot too.

You kept any of them communally?

FYI:The scientific name is actually Sibylla pretiosa.

I know, but I see this one misspelled so often....

Ahh, thanks! I'll fix where ever I have it misspelled. :D

When younger I did, but because I didn't have the best of a hatching with the ooths I bought I stopped doing that just to be on the safe side. ;)

Congratulations, Andrew... That's great!! :D Don't be sorry about letting us know. That's what we're here for... to share our excitement, information, and experiences with other people who actually care and want to hear about it! Best of luck to you raising the little boogers! ;) Now... off to look at the pics...
