Thanks,

Ahh alright cool, cool. Yeah I just got my female yesterday and during the night she laid a nice big fertile ooth so now I know more or less how long until it hatches :-)
PS- Another Miomantis and Creobroter ooth has hatched :-D
Thanks,

Hey everyone. I'm looking for several mantid species at the moment. If anyone has any nymphs or oothecae of Creobroter sp, Phyllocrania Paradoxa, deroplatys sp, or any rather interesting sp. Or flower mantid sp. Let me know. Thanks a ton!
I've been feeding my Hymenopus Coronatus female tons of wild caught butterflies, moths, and flies since she's molted to adult so she can be healthy for mating. I know feeding them crickets isn't good for mating and usually will cause the ootheca to come out messed up and unhatchable. My question...
This isn't always the case. They just say it would probably die considering you have tons and feeding them by loads. If you have just a few mantids and care for them properly there is no reason they should die. If they're L1 they could considering they are hatchlings and unstable but after L2 if...
My female hymenopus coronatus has just molted into an adult today and I would like to get a male for breeding. I'm willing to split nymphs, or oothecae. If you have a male you can loan me please PM me. Thanks.
I have 4 Crested Geckos, around 12 months in age, and am looking to get rid of them. All have beautiful colors, and come from great bloodlines. If interested, contact me. I'm also willing to trade for exotic mantids.
Leave some raw meat in a jar and leave it outside.... after a day go and close the jar, after a few days tons of maggots will turn to pupae and after a few days tons of flies will emerge.
(BEWARE: the meat will begin to rot and STINK)
Yeah Asa is correct, you can feed them whenever you want, but not a wise choice to leave food in 24/7 because if the mantis starts to molt, a insect could disturb it and cause it to die during shedding.
If I were you i'd seperate them! Mantids eat each other starting as just hatchlings! When you first catch mantids they wont seem to be very cannibalistic, but once they settle into their knew cage they will attack and eat each other!
