Update: she’s becoming weaker, can no longer hang upside down without falling, and can’t hold herself up at all. I’ve given her as much honey water as she will drink but I don’t think she’s going to make it. If anyone has any idea what could have gone wrong during/after her moult to cause this...
I’ve tried to hand feed her and so far she hasn’t accepted anything, but I’ll keep trying. I’ll get some honey for her tomorrow as well and hopefully that will give her more energy and motivation to eat something!

Usually when I’m holding them I’m just sitting not really doing anything, I’m not really sure what would be startling them 😅 What sorts of things are likely to do so?
When I hold my ghost mantises, they often lay down on my hand/finger and will stay there like that for hours. Does anyone know why they do this? Is it because I’m warm? Or are they just resting?
Looking for a suitable food source for L5/L6 ghost mantises. I haven’t been able to find any blue bottle fly cultures or pupae that will ship to me. Crickets and mealworms are readily available at pet stores but I’ve heard they aren’t ideal. Would springtails be a better option?
