    Idolomantis - almost adult

Nope, no problems at all. But I need to buy some lamps and stuff and distribute nymphs to other enclosures - otherwise it will be too crowded inside those I use now. I don't wanna one nymph walkin' all over another while it's molting.

    Idolomantis - almost adult

Mozoltov on the first ooth! My Idolomantis started maturing a while ago - I expect a whole lotta adults by the end of the month :) Let's hope that as many of them make it.

Do you keep records on your mantids?

How does keeping records ruins a hobby?

    Don L.

There is no guarantee on WC ooths - I kept such, and only some of them hatched. You might get lucky if you buy more than just 1-2 ooths, but it might always go other way. There's a fair amount of reliable breeders keeping Idolomantis - I don't know why people resort to cheap, WC caught ooths...

    Don L.

100$ per Idolomatis ooth seems a bit off for me. But I've seen similar bargains, where the trader dropped down on the price, but underlined that only some of the ooths will hatch. Don L might be taking ooths from the same person I'm talking about (a guy from Tanzania), and raising prices...

    They look more like Phasmids.

    live to see

It might be possible, you should give it a try - just to play around ;)

    live to see

That ain't nothing special. Try to get some "incest" in - someone I know had a Hymenopus male jump and mate with its "mother". Now that's a challenge.

    Thesprotia graminis questions

Yeah, they do. But males live only 3-4 weeks.

    Thesprotia graminis questions

I would not be worried about their ability to catch prey. Their raptorial arms are very tiny, but L1 nymphs han handle medium sized D. melanogaster with ease. Adult females can unleash quite a whoopage, and don't even seem to struggle. I'd save some D. hydei for adult males though, they are...

has anyone got any mantis tattoos?

Why so? The ark was actualy made from Shittah Tree, it ain't his fault that there is a mookie stink word in shittah-tree, just like there is a pineapple, but there ain't no apple in it.

has anyone got any mantis tattoos?

    Why you little!...

has anyone got any mantis tattoos?

I almost had a "Mother" tatoo on my arm, but the tatooist run out of ink and I was left with just "Moth"...

    Idolomantis - almost adult

It's actually a quote from Deus Ex, I always wanted to use it ;) Besides, I don't dream - 15 pairs I keep for myself ain't no dream, it's as real as it gets ;)
