Received an order 30 minutes ago.  Everything was packed very well.  Heat pack used even though it may not have been needed.  All 11 nymphs in great shape.  Thank you for A LOT of extras!  Absolutely recommended.

    Video: Breeding Mantises

Thanks for sharing this!  I just subscribed to your channel.  You're much younger than I imagined haha!  I do wish you had a "Mantid" playlist on your channel but I am finding the other content interesting too while I hunt for Mantids.  :)

    WTB Ghost and/or African Ooths

Hello!  I have been away a long long time.  I'm back and with all of this time being at home I'd like to start up my ole hobby again.  I'm looking to start fresh since I gave all of my stuff away to a few former members on here.  I'm looking to buy a Ghost Mantid ooth (P PARADOXA) or an African...

    Hello! I'm from Chicago!

Good morning!  I'm from Chicago.  I want to buy some mantids but I'm concerned about breaking laws.  Is there any conclusive evidence that it is illegal to buy/sell specimen who's origins are outside of the U.S.A?  It seems that since these guys eat other bugs and don't kill crops/trees it would...

Just stopping by to say "hello" to old friends.

Just wanted to check in on you all and say "hello". I'm happy to see these forums are still very active. I miss all my buddies in here. I've been real busy. Started my own business, raising a dog (7 months old now!) and took a trip through North Africa/Europe for 3 weeks. The list goes on...

    Heating 20 Gal Aquarium

ClampLamp and a cheap bulb from Wal-Mart. I agree with the above suggestions. Those pads you stick to the bottom of your tank never seem to be worth the cost. $15-$25? You could get a couple clamp lamps and bulbs for that much and it actually works! :P

    Don L.

Not sure what he does with the price or if it's fair. I do know that you shouldn't send people ANY ooth for ANY price if it's got holes in it. Looks like a G.I. Joe machine gunner had his way with it. Another thing too. Maybe a suggestion. If you are going to get ooths from a guy in...

    Don L.

This is a long long time coming. I ordered an Idol ooth from Don. Dropped over $100 on the ooth. When I got it, it had holes... lots of holes. I wanted to be nice and I was pretty new with ooths. So, I posted the pictures of those ooths on here and nearly everyone thought it was a hatched...

    Hail Mary- virgin ooth

...or shine a blacklight in her cage and look for "spots" is what I've been told.

    What ever happen to LectricBlueyes?

Hey all! So whatever happened to me? Well, I bought a new dog... started a new company and have found it too hard to care for so many mantids! So, I gave some to my cousin Caitlin and the majority to my friend Katnapper. :) Anyway, just wanted to say "hi" and see how you are all doing...

    Mantid diarrhea? cha cha cha

They did survive. I fed my entire stock from the same batch of crickets. Though, as you've read in my other thread, I did have problems with that very batch of crickets. The following is true about the crickets: 1. Many were dying, the majority of deaths were adults. 2. We had a week of...

    Mantid diarrhea? cha cha cha

I'm working on this. I've just gotten house flies added to the diet. Also, I need to diversify the cricket's food and I've recently changed how I've kept my crickets. I also suspect it was the cricket who had something. I've lost many, many crickets recently to some kind of illness. Could...

    Hot glue Ooth death?

Yep, this is my method with the glue gun. A tiny dab, wait, and then just as it's in the of getting hard, I attach the ooth. If you can touch your finger to the glue and it's "very warm" you are golden. Sometimes I wait too long and the glue gets hard but as you do it enough, you learn timing...

    Mantid diarrhea? cha cha cha

Just as an FYI. This mantid eventually died despite my attempts to revive him. Here is a brief history of the event: 1. Molted 2. Would not eat for 5 days 3. Ate a cricket 4. Vomit 5. Would not eat 6. Abdoman becomes flabby... soft... mushy.. still alive. 7. Non-reactive, still...

    Katnapper - (US)

When you buy from Becky, you can expect EXCELLENT service, communication, and a perfect product. Becky packed my Budwing ooth flawlessly, in a NICE 32oz cup, ready to hatch. She even put a big fat label on my cup giving the species/sub-species, common name, and the birth date of the ooth...

    Massive Cricket Death

Alright, I'll give that a shot. You sure they aren't spreading any kind of bacteria/disease?

    Massive Cricket Death

Okay well... last night before going to bed I brought the cricket tank into my apartment. Outside it's 80-90 degrees depending on the time of day. Inside it's 71-77. I took away the food, pollen, and the oranges. This morning I am still seeing deaths. It's hard to say... At this point I...

    am I the youngest rearer?

Well.... depends on your perspective. Less time worrying about spelling means more time for other things. Less time typing out full words (spelled correctly or not) means more time for other things. Today I look at youth... that long hair... so sloppy. Those 1980's pants.... this music...

    am I the youngest rearer?

I'll second that. I was never very good in school myself and I LOVE how Mozilla FireFox underlines (IN RED) all of my misspelled words, and then allows me to right-click and pick the correct spellings. Funny how it all begins... I'm 29 and still remember how important spelling was when filling...
