    I have to take breaks often, maybe cause I'm lazy, but the awesome thing about this hobby is that it never goes away. You'll never be able to go without mantids forever.

    Yes, as Shorty said, bad idea because of the mantids molting habits. Even if the mantis didn't molt, i'd would still be very worried.

    Do mantids molt more often during the day or night?

    Mine mostly molt in the evening.

    does feeding wasps/hornets/honey bees put mantis at risk?

    Something of an old topic but...the only food item I can really see as being problematic would be hornets (they can bite) and anything larger than the mantis itself.
