    Amazing mantid survival

And even then, only temperate species oothecae. And those vary in what cold they can take as well. Stagmomantis wont range into Canada. Heck, it wont range into the far northern states. Perhaps into the Pacific Northwest near the coast? I dunno. Brunneria oothecae diapause, but not like...

    Stagmomantis limbata temperament

Hey @Jaunte!  Sorry for this late reply.  Yes, prey aggression typically.  This translates easily into cannibalism.  An aggressive mantis is more likely to strike at you, but as a nymph, it cant really do much. Youll learn quickly how to best handle it so it stays calm.

    The mantis family 2021

6 weeks, give or take. Faster, if kept warmer. Her first ooth should have hatched a long time ago, yes? Maybe section the ooth with a razorblade, to see the condition of the eggs.

What causes a praying mantis not to lay eggs?

Hey there. Deroplatys sp are notorious to hanging on to oothecae as long as they can, in waiting for a mate. You can often mate one and shell drop an ooth same-night. You have this working against as-is you if she's unmated. Place clean paper towel underneath her to see if she's dropping...

    Orchid mantis pairing trouble

DeShawn is top shelf and didnt screw you. Orchid males live 4+ months. Just keep them low 70s and feed a fly every 4 or 5 dahs. Let your female catch up. Good luck.

    A centipede is death

She said she went to sleep thinking about it first few nights. When I heard that, I realized again, how lucky I am, and what a fool I can be!
