Orchid with infected arm what to do?

no they don't it's just her. i'll try the peroxide thanks. I am a little worried though today her wound is brown/black. I'm really hoping that its more like a scab formed there but i think it's probably the infection still spreading.

Orchid with infected arm what to do?

omg i did it, i cut it off, felt so horrible doing that. But even since i took the picture it spread enough that i would lose the chance soon. She actually didn't react at all like she felt no pain. gave her a bunch of honey.

Orchid with infected arm what to do?

Yeah she seems totally normal, and even ate after she chewed the arm off(she had been refusing food for a little while before hand) its been 2 days since she ate the arm, and there was very little black left on the elbow the end was just a little brown actually, so in 2 days that's how much its...

Orchid with infected arm what to do?

So one of my orchids developed a black spot on her elbow, she also was refusing food for a while. I didn't really think too much of it until the other day when she chewed her arm off at the elbow looks like she ate the arm too. She seems to be doing good with the arm gone and started eating...

    Idolo looks to be dying

She'll be missed, she was a family favorite, everyone loved her and we were all really excited to see her adult form. it's a sad loss.

    Idolo looks to be dying

BBFs for a long time then i switched to mealworms which she's been eating for a couple months. Is it normal for idolo's to take that long to get to adult?

    Idolo looks to be dying

had her in a glass aqaurium tank with nylon mesh top, and i glued nonslip mat to the walls for her. cocofiber on the bottom. and has a heatpad. I used a cheap hygrometer so i really dunno if it was accurate, should have got a better one. But usually around 85 degrees F and moisture could...

    Idolo looks to be dying

eh i'd rather not, shes in bad condition but there isn't anything abnormal to see, she'll just look dead. I have her out of her enclosure not sure what i can do for her, but shes just laying down she isn't moving much, she looks like shes breathing heavily with her abdomen moving.

    Idolo looks to be dying

Very sad, my female idolo was very close to molting to adult, her wing buds are really fat. She hasn't been eating for quite a long time(close to 2 weeks) yesterday i took her out and she seemed a bit off, was clumsier then usual and seemed to struggle to fully stand up but otherwise she was ok...

Um what happened to my fruit fly culture?

no they don't have that weevil snout, that first pic was a little weird i can see how it looks like it does, i think that one was missing 1 antenna and was cleaning a foot or something when i took the pic. but they have small pin heads with 2 antenae. They are porbably a fly they dont seem to...

Enclosure Idea: Popsicle Stick and Dowels--Wood

i tried using chopsticks in a similar fashion but they molded and the mantis's didn't really use them. That water cup idea seems pretty good think i'll try it when i go on vacation.

Um what happened to my fruit fly culture?

i doubt i can take a pic, i only have a cellphone for pics and i usually cant even get it to focus enough to get a good pic of a baby mantis. these are about the size of a melogaster and black would probably look like a black line if i take a pic. i'll give it a shot though, if it doesnt work...

Um what happened to my fruit fly culture?

Ok this is weird, so i've been breeding hydei fly cultures for a long time and recently my culture stopped producing larvae...not sure why but i had a boom then no more larvaes despite lots of medium still left. I took the remaining flys and moved to a new culture but i didn't notice it till...

Lol my Giant Asian Shield mantis Molted the Day before Shipping it

had an idolmantis molt during shipping recently. Most of the time during shipping the packages wont really be moving, sitting in a truck or on plane there's a lot of down time for a safe molt.
