Tracy is sending me a giant asian shield mantis and it was L4 and now it is L5 as of an hour ago. It was supposed to be shipped tomorrow so this is good as I wouldn’t want it to molt during the trip! Have any of you heard of a mantis molting during delivery and surviving?

Wait so how are mantises able to molt with all the bumps happening on the road when it is in the truck?

I've had mantids molt in shipping as well, but it's always safer to make sure that you aren't shipping a mantis that's about to molt!

had an idolmantis molt during shipping recently. Most of the time during shipping the packages wont really be moving, sitting in a truck or on plane there's a lot of down time for a safe molt.
