    it rained which means MUD :D To bad the rain washed it almost all off but anyways it was super fun. Like driving on a slip n slide hahahaha 2wd ftw! ;) (yes I know about the mudflaps, they'll be gone once i lift it. For now I think it looks better with)

    Yes. They are not accurate enough/do small enough steps for my (and other's) work. I use a Newport linear stage with a 1" micrometer.

    Got some at walmart, and so far so un-interested. Its stopped in its tracks when he/she noticed the worm, gave it a once-over, and continued on. I've placed a perfect sized worth with the snake inside smaller cage for the night, REALLY hoping its gone by morning.

    Thanks :) Do note that if you do wish to try deep studio focus stacking (or early morning stacking), a "for photography" made rail will not work (yes even the manfrotto one etc.). You'll need a linear stage with a micrometer which may or may not need modifying to fit your camera/tripod. zerene...

    I was recently given this awesome snake to take care of and im not quite sure what im doing. First and foremost, an ID would be wonderful (I live in SoCal).... excuse the cellphone shots, but there it is. He/She has no problem with me holding it, and he/she seems to really enjoy climbing up...
