Whole culture of flies for only a few mantids.

Haha I was thinking this same thing after looking at the carnivorous plant forum.. I don't think they'd fix the culture problem but would definitely be helpful when a few got loose. I hate flies being in my house!

Violins - Communal, but during mating?

Oh ok, good thing I asked. I'll be sure to separate the females. I'm assuming that this wouldn't need to be done until sub-adult to adult?

Whole culture of flies for only a few mantids.

Yeah, I figured that they didn't really have to die, and that I'd just release extras. I didn't see any vial of them either, so I'll probably find them and go with this. Thanks much guys

Violins - Communal, but during mating?

Violins are communal and not cannibalistic, but does this even apply to the female eating the male while enclosed? I've also read that even though they are communal, that there are still "incidents". How common would it be that Violins living together would injure each other (without being...

What time of year to buy Violin ooths/nymphs

First post :) I am looking to possibly get some violins and everywhere I look seems to be out. What time of year are the fertile ooths and/or nymphs going to be available? Sorry if this is a noob question or is in the wrong forum section, I'm new to the mantis thing :P Thanks in advance...
