    My Gongylus gongylodes Enclosures.

Thank you. The highest temperature point is 106 degrees Fahrenheit (immediately below the light) but the coolest point is 82 degrees Fahrenheit (floor). The room that I have the enclosures in has an ambient range of 74-78 degrees Fahrenheit. They change positioning to the lowest branches, the...

    My Gongylus gongylodes Enclosures.

Thank you for the advice. So far, they have not shown any difficulty in moving along the screen. Though, I can place a sheer fabric on the inside to avoid the potential issues.

    My Gongylus gongylodes Enclosures.

Hello All, Just wanted to share the enclosures I set up for my Gongylus gongylodes. I received eight sub-adults, four males and four females, in trade for some of my captive bred and born 5th "instar" Damon diadema. I chose two screen enclosures made by DIYcages.com that are 16 inches (40.64...

    Baby Tailless Whips

Excellent. I had to broods of CBB Damon diadema hatch back in September and October 2013. I just started selling and trading the 5th "instars" two weeks ago. I've already sold thirty-two of them and still have forty-seven left. Both broods have separate mothers but have the same father. If you...

    Vlodek

100% Positive! I ordered 6 Deroplatys lobata from Wlodek and received them this morning. They are all perfectly healthy and active. Communication has been excellent and the packing was superb. Plus, he was so kind as to send me extras! Definitely going to be a repeat customer.

    Platycryptus Undatus Care

Make sure they are well fed and then introduce the female to the male. You'll want to be around until they are done.

    Platycryptus Undatus Care

They have ferocious appetites. :) I love Salticids! I have five different species...each one having a different type of personality. The Phidippus audax are feisty. I have been bitten by them twice now Haha. A male tagged me while I was packing up to send to Ken MacNeil. I'll see how many I...

    Platycryptus Undatus Care

I have some but you would probably be better off finding one because I don't think it would be worth the shipping cost for you.

    Platycryptus Undatus Care

You measure diagonally from the tip of the back leg to the tip of the front leg. I love them. I have nine of them, myself. :)

    Platycryptus Undatus Care

Well, how big is she? They have a duagonal legspan of about .75 inches when adults.

    Platycryptus Undatus Care

They are super easy to care for in my opinion. Really any North American Salticid is a breeze on maintenance. Feed them only often enough to keep them in good health...depends on the feeders you use. Small crickets, flies, moths, etc. No sense in feeding her anything that is over 30% her mass...

    Aggressive male!! :(

I use it to keep the wound sealed. I haven't had any issues...those females went on to produce fertile ooths. I even sent some ooths to Ken The Bug Guy, one of which was produced by one of the females that I treated. Those ooths hatched and Traci still has some offspring from them. They are...

    Aggressive male!! :(

How bad are the wounds? I've seen it before a few times...as long as the wounds aren't too deep, she'll be okay. If its not too bad you can dry the wound and area around, and then apply Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment in order to stop the bleeding and keep it clean.
