Attracting Katydids

I was planning on going to the Pet store to pick up crickets but listening to everyone's dislike of them, I wanna catch the katydid's outside because not only are they are naturally bred but also since they don't dwell on the ground. Do you guys know of any ways to attract them? So far I've been listening to the calls of the males and using echolocation with a flashlight. I'm thinking Sporeworld would have a few tricks up his sleeve. Thanks!

Ha! I wish. I just find them on the walls.

Crickets aren't THAT bad. Depends on what you're raising. And how clean and well fed you keep them.

But free katydids are a good choice, if you can find them.
