Boy Troubles [Awkwardness Ensues]

I understand whole-heartedly how funny and possibly difficult this thread's gonna be to take seriously, but after the first few times, I started to get concerned and, well... slightly annoyed by it...

My male mantis has been blatantly expressing his want to reproduce everytime he's taken out, this has been going on for two weeks. I don't want to breed him, nor do I know any local breeders who could promise me his safety...

Is there anything that can be done? Or must I tolerate his... uhhh.. awkward behavior for a while? ._.

Alas, mantises don't go into heat, so your male will continue to make love to your finger -- if you keep putting it within reach -- until he returns to the Great Mantis Goddess (BbHN). Fortunately for you, adult males live a much shorter time than females. <_<

He settled down after a couple of weeks.

Sadly though, Mandy passed away last week due to natural causes. It was a shame and I do miss my little guy. But I'm glad to say he's had a great life, his own little bug adventures (once escaped and was missing for three days!)

I'm sure he's well up in bug heaven. <3
