Hi, I posted pics of this wee guy at the start of the month to see if anyone knew what species he is, but the overall conclusion was he was too small. He's had a few more moults since then, so can anyone enlighten me yet? I have found out the ooth my friend hatched originated from Cameroon, in Africa, if that helps.

Also, my friend is still raising the rest of the babies from the ooth, and says that some have gone bright green (brighter than the one in the pic), some have gone brown, and some are green with a really dark brown line going down their backs. Is this sort of variety is normal in babies one ooth? Or are post-hatching conditions to blame for colour changing?

Rhombodera from Africa? Does not fit!

Sphodromantis could fit, female by the way.

regards,

tier

I say sprodomantis also, my sister had a sprodomantis virdis and it had a thorax like that, although never had any other africans

Definately not Rhombodera for many reasons.......

I've had a far few ootheca from this country and they usually turn out to be Sphodromantis spp. But this is not S. viridis.
