Just a message on Ebay. Thought it might be of interest.

"An ongoing labor dispute between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers has escalated to a full lockout. Canada Post has announced that, effective today, mail will not be accepted or delivered across Canada until further notice.

The lockout impacts all shipments to and from Canada handled by Canada Post, as well as shipments into Canada via postal carriers such as USPS or Royal Mail.

Sellers from both sides of the border who have not yet shipped items that have been paid for are encouraged to work with their buyers to discuss potential alternate shipping options. Sellers who can offer courier services, such as UPS or FedEx, are encouraged to modify their listings to offer these options. We're adding messaging in purchase flows to alert buyers to the situation, and we've also included a message in the feedback process to remind buyers that shipping delays due to labor disputes are not within a seller's control.

We will work closely with the Seller Standards team to protect sellers from lower performance ratings received due to Canada Post disruption-related issues.

This is an unfortunate and frustrating situation. While we hope for a quick resolution to the conflict, we will do everything in our power to support sellers during this time."

Bunch of losers if you ask me. Thank goodness my package from greenoasis came a few days ago, or else my ghosts would have been stuck in this too.

I envy the United States for thier reliable postal service, Canada Post is a joke!

LOL..."reliable" postal service...that's a laugh! (You haven't seen my thread on MY carrier, have you?) ;)

Funny, the rest of the world kind of thinks of Canadians as a bunch of pansies (not me, I love Brendan Frasier & Leslie Nielsen was the BOMB!), but I guess even Canadian postal workers will go "postal"! :p

Haha, well at least somewhat "reliable" in comparison to Canada's I'm sure. Canada post completely shuts down during the weekends and they offer no tracking updates Saturday or Sunday. The mail still moves through the system on weekends, but apparently they shut down the computers that actually "track" the package.

I guess Canadian robots get weekends off.

We do? Not the way they play hockey and drink beer! No way!

They are certainly NOT pansies.

Some of us DO think of them as the 51st state, thought...

** ducks for cover ** :p

+1

I've never seen a poll on what the rest of the world thinks about Canada, but I do know that a lot of Americans who go to Europe on the cheap put a Canadian flag on their backpacks.

I'm just a foreigner, so I don't know much US history. Did the US ever invade Canada, say in 1812 or thereabouts? If so, does anyone know who won?

But that's ancient history. I'm sure that American forces must have served alongside Canadian troops at the second battle of Ypres in 1915 and at Dunkirk in 1940.

Okay...ASIDE from hockey or soccer...Canadians are generally not considered "hostile" by any other country. Which is why some Americans choose to use the "I'm Canadian" excuse. There are a lot of countries/areas that don't like Americans...not many that don't like Canadians. (It especially makes sense to call onesself a Canadian when visiting France, n'est pas?) :p

Hehe, we Canadians are just nice people! Except when our igloos melt, that usually bums us out quite a bit.

OH and that one time during the war of 1812 when we burned down the white house, no big deal or anything, no hard feeling I'm sure ;)

Phil: In reality if one goes back far enough (250 years ago) my maternal grandparents came from Spain and stopped in Sonora mexico for several years. So in one sense I can say Soy Mexicano, also Soy Ukrainan.
