hey guys! My girl clover is eating nice and fine but I ran out of crickets and can't get any small ones for a week.

Anyways I borrowed some mediums from my gecko cage and she took one down .

Just wondering if this is to big for clover? will she know when to stop?

good thing mantids aren't like fish as far as knowing when to stop eating:p
I read somewhere that feeder size can be determined by the fully extended length of the Coxae or the front legs past the first joint. Although I have fed my larger Mantids some hoppers that were a little longer.

That is the perfect size. That is the size I would feed that mantis. If they can hang onto it it is not too big. Of course they know when to stop.

yeah sorry. but the reluctance to stop eating is a characteristic I've seen before, especially in dealing with fish.

I'm new to mantids so I'm still not fully acquainted with some of these things
