Ran into some pictures of this species online, wow, just WOW! anybody on here have any experience with this species? I am extremely interested!

Wish I could help you, Brian... but my very brief experience with a few of them was a miserable failure.

the same here, this species is just pain in the ######,they don't molt for a long time and it was middle of december so i though it would be perfect time to diapause them but they started to molt during the diapause and after that, they stopped eating they couldn't even walk properly and they died off. I would recommend Empusa pennata instead, they same looks, but easier to keep:D
