First time feeding ghost mantis

This was awesome to watch, albeit, slightly morbid. Prime devoured this cricket. He gets relatively animated when a tasty morsel wanders near!! Makes me wonder about the giant species!

Cool! I keep rhombodera (shield mantis) and they are quite agressive towards their food lol.. Some times they will grab like a small meal worm and once they have eaten enough I try to take it away and won't let go!

All my mantids do what I call the Yum-Yum dance.They do it before they strike too but mostly after the strike. They wiggle and sway from side to side or twist. Especially when they have something they really like like a new soft fly! Oh boy!
