I'm thinking it would look good to have real dead leaves in my ghost tank. Is it okay to just use any I find?

Yes, I cut branches last fall that had brown and yellow or red leaves and my mantids loved them! I didnt sterilize them in any way. Ive never had trouble with them that would require that.

You might need to hot glue the leaves to thier branches as mine all fell off. They will LOVE thier new habitat!

If you have any oak trees in your area they tend to really hang on to their leaves even throughout the winter. I have a few oak branches with dead leaves that are not coming off any time soon. I just left mine out to dry and to make sure nothing unwanted was living on it for a few days elsewhere in my house.
