someone on frog forum says they have hundreds of these things in a frog tank:
is this a gonatista grisea nymph??
is this a gonatista grisea nymph??
Thats what I was thinking. Right colours but bark mantids don't hold themselves so high.Get me some!
It might be, but my bark mantids of a different species held themselves much closer to the ground.
Posting to find out the answer.
good, what will i do with like a hundred of them?? :lol:If they end up bark mantids, I'd buy some from you.
he didnt say there was an ooth, it's possible there were a bunch on the woodAndrew would know for sure, but that high of a hatch rate(hundreds) doesn't sound like grisea to me?
he lives in new york but idk where he got the bark fromYup those are grisea! When they are young like that they especially hold themselves that high because they don't have the whole bark thing down yet....becareful A , if this guy doesnt know a thing about them and just put them in a tank, then becareful of how he might pack them....and I had a medium amount of experience with them and out of 30, four made it (two molted to L2 already) ...but I now know my mistakes and have made alterations....and the older nymphs are doing great! The highest hatch is ~100 nymhps (normal is ~50).....but this is from a normal-larger sized ooth....the ooths that the WC female laid were really small... thus the 30 ct nymph hatch....
Where does this frog person live? In FL?
i have 4 unoccupied net cages, so if it's space they need, it's space they'll getYeah mixing stock = stonger individuals all mine are WC...Nick, have you had any exp with them? (Back when they used to be in culture)
i might also be able to sleeve them over a treeYeah I'm pretty sure it was the high number of nymphs in a small area...
