Hello, I recently purchased four springtail cultures. From the get go, I noticed small, fast moving red creatures moving about. I thought nothing of it (like an idiot) and put them under my sink to stay cool. Now, after further inspection, I can see that they are mites. I still see springtales in the culture, so I'm not sure if the numbers are declining are not. But to avoid introducing mites to my mantids and my tarantula terrarium, does anyone know of a way to kill them without killing the springtales? I read put the culture in the refridgerator, but am not sure. Thanks.
