I'm Tom, from The Netherlands, 23 years old and keep mantids for 2,5 years now. I also have some spiders, assassin bugs and crabs.

I studied literature, but at the moment I work in a meat factory. Other hobbies than mantids are soccer and literature.

Hopefully this forum will bring me more knowledge about mantids and help me breed more (new) species. I think it will.

The species I have at the moment:

Acontista multicolor

Acromantis formosana (1st generation)

Blepharopsis mendica IGM 9

Creobroter apicalis IGM 211 (1st generation)

Deroplatys desiccata

Hierodula membranacea (2nd generation)

Humbertiella species IGM 243

Metallyticus violacea IGM 160

Miomantis binotata

Otomantis species (1st generation)

Parasphendale affinis

Phyllocrania paradoxa

Rhombodera fusca

I'm waiting for M. binotata and Otomantis sp. to hatch.

Thanks for the welcomes guys (and some girls ;) ).

Some people do still wear wooden shoes, mostly to entertain tourists.

I don't live in Amsterdam, but in a smaller town near it.

gripen, I recognized your name, wondered if you were the same guy.
