Female, the easiest way to tell is a to look at the head crest from straight in front of the mantis.

Get good shots of there heads. Females head projection is always shorter. Where males are longer, and more contorted.

Yeah, with ghosts you can easily tell the sex by the crest. Males have a skinnier/more jagged crest. I've also read that females have 1-2 kinks in the crest compared to 2-3 kinks on a male.

Nice comparison shot dtuck91, as you can see the antenna are thicker and bolder all together as well on the male, just an observation that helps with many species I've found.

Agreed! It can work to tell help tell sex as early as L5-6 sometimes even L4.
