Congrats I hope you have fun raising your twigs. I had a pair I got for free with a order I made of a fellow member of the forum. And they where really nice. I love when they do the super mans pose while the shake there antennas really fast :)

You shouldn't let it get you down even the best keeper on this forum have moments where they lose mantids in there stock. It's something most say is part of the hobby and a part of learning to become a better mantid keeper

Congrats! I too received a Mexican Grass Mantis ( Bactromantis Mexicana ) from Yen, when ordering a Spiny Flower from him! They're definitely a unique, more stick-bug like mantis. It looks like you have your hands full there! I hope you enjoy them! :)

Careful, mantis addiction is a very real problem. Just one mantis can lead you into a never ending spiral of more mantises.
This is very true. My girlfriend already sprung for an intervention and said that she thinks I may have a problem. I've agreed to cut back to the dozen I have now, until I breed haha!

Gratz! They're so cute! Did you have any luck with getting the inured one into better health? There was lots of great advice in the health issues topics that helped me when I had a weak or injured nymph.

no i didn't. it didn't want to eat. everytime i would offer it food, it would refuse it. it couldn't stand and walk properly too :(

OMG. This thread is just too relatable. I've already got several species I'm caring for and I just started this year.  I'm also already looking forward to raising others...this hobby really is addicting.

So true. It started with a single Chinese mantis I found outside in 2013. Now I'm swimming in 500 mantises. :p  More than I can handle, haha.
