Anyone ever used them as feeders? I know a place where they are excessive and I could catch quite a few if they're worth my time!

Yea, they get stuck together when they mate. I assume they're some sort of fly, never really thought about it. It's their mating season and I saw TONS of them last night, but I didn't have a cup and I was with people who wouldn't understand if I started catching them

I caught those things as a child. They are so easy to catch even with just your hands. I haven't seen them swarming for a few years around here.

I used to find them when i was kid as well! :) I don't see why they could not be used as feeders. I do wonder if a mating pair was to be grabbed by a mantis. If one were free, do you think it would try and disconnect and fly away? Or would it be eaten with it's mate?
