Well I didn't spend this Thanksgiving like most do, but I still had a lot of fun with friends and family. For three days, (25th-27th) I was riding my bicycle with a few friends and my brother. At the end of the event, we each had ridden just over 100 miles on bicycles!!! I know 100 miles is no sweat for a professional cyclist, but it was a real challenge for everybody. We rode 27 miles on the first day, 50.1 miles on the second day, and finished up the remaining on trails on the third day. We delt with angry drivers, VERY thick fog on the first day, LOTS of hills and so on. My favorite part was when we rode on the trails, very fast pace! I can tell my thighs are a lot bigger now, but boy, are they sore! I'm part of an organization called the Royal Rangers (basically Boy Scouts, but Christian based) and we did this to earn the 100 mile patch. Prior to this event, I only knew of one other person with one.....
Few pics.
Told ya the fog was THICK
Feeling the pain up half mile hill.
Enjoying the ride down a long hill.
Finishing.
(I was the fastest cyclist, you can see the others in the back of the picture)
