I show you some pictures of cheap housing of Phyllocrania paradoxa and their individual distance:
This is an example of a very bad structured enclosure. There are a lot of twigs missing. The larvae can only share the few twigs, but there is a lot of empty, useless room in the enclosure.
There is no heating or light but only the window next to the enclosure. The room temperature is about 23°C nighttime and 26°C daytime; i mist once a day in the envening. I only feed flies fed with honey. The are still doing fine after several generations :-()
In the same room I keep Phyllium siccifolium, but of course they got some plants instead of flies for their diet. But the conditions to breed them are exactly the same:
