Sexing Ghosts

Does anyone have pics of male / female ghosts ?

Is there an easy way to sex them other than counting segments?

You can tell through the leafy projections on the head.

Ghost males are always brown ( I have never seen green one), female - green or brown.

how soon should they be separated

they are in a big exoterra with lots and lots of food

I am setting up another exoterra so eventually one with males and one with females

100% male.

There is always a risk that they attack each other. I separated my ghosts after third moulting.

Extremely busy. Ghost adult males live about one month, so don't let him rest too much.

I just feed them...when they go adult the males have longer wings and are thin.

that said the heads are generally the fasted way to guess sex. females broader headdress and "one" kink...males have more curves, thinner and a bit longer. also bays antenna are thicker than females.

A month? I'm guitted. My ghost has just had her final moult so I only have her for one more month? I thought they spent half their lifes as adults? Or do only females live longer?

Females can live 6-9 months as adults while males may only live a few weeks.

well I separated what I think is males and females yesterday

I have 8 green females so they where easy

the rest I looked at the headdress so I guess as they get bigger I will know for sure and just keep an eye on them all

Ghost males live about one month or even shorter and it's not easy to make them copulate, especially during the last week of it's life. That's why I advised mike to hurry up.
