Very pink orchid!

This is my awesome girl  I’m really in awe of her colors. She was pure white until I decided to add lots of pink and purple flowers to her habitat!

Oh wow! She's gorgeous. My female used to be that pink, now she has turned a bit more white... really hoping the pink goes back.

I’m not totally sure, but I think it’s a mixture of genetics and environment

It's an interesting experiment anyway!  I have a ghost that turned somewhat green in her last molt and she does have a fake plant that is lime green and pink in there.  But that may just be coincidence...  I'm not taking that plant out though.

funny, I did the exact opposite experiment, lol. I turned a green limbata white.

The color of the environment affects other organisms like fishes so I wouldn't be surprised that it's true for mantids as well!
