I've recently been on holiday to southern France and brought home some mantids I found in some bushes...

Could anyone help me with identifying these mantids with the following photos?

I guess they belong together, one being male and one of them female... but also with this I'm not 100% sure.

There are some clear black markings on the wings of the female.

my guess probably goes to iris oratoria or ameles decolor.

thx very much in advance,

chris

the female (upper picture) about 2.5cm, the male (lower picture) a bit more than 3cm

One of our A. decolor males is around 3cm so it guess it's A. decolor. Also depends how you measure them. Wings are quite long.

the male is probably a.decolor

with the female i'm not quite sure...

hasn't anyone got a clue concerning the black markings on the wings?
