what mantis species is the strongest?

i would say the chinese mantis would probably win in a fight vs most species. what species do you guys think is the most tuff? not that id ever make any fight just curious what you guys might think.

I have to add onto agent A's observations there, I got an oxy nymph at the moment that is no bigger than the end of a q-tip and it stalked, caught, restrained and ate a roach almost 5 times its size.

Any Sphrodomantis is quite the fighter, thick legs, strong bodies, they get rather big, and have the biggest mandibles I've seen on a mantis.

Plistospilota guineensis does not get over 5". There are many rumors about this species, and the internet once again does a lovely job of allowing a place for things to get blown out of proportion.

The largest mega that I have heard of is 12.5 cm. Take a look at the front end of a mega mantis, it does not have a heavily build. I'd take an 8 cm Rhombodera for strength over a Plistospilota. Rhombodera also get my vote for mandible power. They cut through absolutely everything.

Though I've never held/kept one, the new Rhombodera sp. from Thailand that a UK member has reared would most certainly take the crown.

The strongest mantis ive come to know are the sphodromantis sp.. Had a blue flash that was very aggressive, only mantis that attacked me and broke skin.. And ive been attacked by rhombos and hierodulas..
