That's my main problem. I would buy so many mantids if shipping weren't $10+ each time. It's not anyone's fault, but my wallet doesn't like it.

Yes. It was probably shipped at a bad time so they needed express shipping.

I always ship priority. I've only had one mantid die in transit during a normal weather condition.

Priority is more than fine as long as the buyer knows they take responsibility for what happens in a 2-3 day post office fun ride, as apposed to 1 day or less... Just say'n.

One day? Three days? I think the amount of handling would be basically the same. Maybe more so with express as it has to get there quick. I'll take the slow boat to china, please. :lol:
