Hello all, I feed mantisplace house and bottle fly food to my mantises, but as far as I know it doesnt have honey in it, but my yens blend from mantisplace has dry honey in it, which I hear is good when the flies eat it and pass it to my mantises, but I haven't used this stuff since January and it is hard in the container and stuck to the vial it was sent in

Is this stuff no good anymore? Should I just get honey from the grocery store?

Thanx!!! :)

I use drops of honey on the metal lid hole of a deli, and it works great with little to no mess if done right.

Sometimes it becomes hard because of moisture seepage over time. Happens with sugar salt any powdery rly. Should just be able 2 break it up again and feed. After all they r flies and to them a piece of doggie doo is heaven. Lol powdery or chunky I'm sure its still good.

About anything can go bad. I'd say it has just went bad on you. I prefer plain honey. But Yen knows what he is doing so if you like his blend get a fresh batch.
