    Mantisfly

Wolf spiders? That's interesting.I knew they had a complex life cycles, but I guess I missed that. I guess I could have raised them when I lived in Texas. Wolf spiders reach near plague levels during the summer there. Do any of you think it might be possible to breed them using eggs that have...

    What's your favorite mantis

Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii all the way. Coolest looking mantis I've ever seen, and I have two of them now. :) Thanks Paradoxica!

    mini wall terrariums

I put a couple L2 Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii in them that I got from Paradoxica. Had to take out all but one clump of moss so I could monitor them effectively though. I think these would work well for quite a few smaller species, and juveniles. I could have probably also made a background with...

    mini wall terrariums

Just added in the live moss, and branches today. I made these using old plastic romaine lettuce containers. I siliconed screen along the bottom to hold things in, and cut some vents along the bottom of the lid. I used tacks to attach them to the wall.

    Dragons?

Difficult creatures to get established in the vivarium. I think I remember their diet in the wild is mostly tree dwelling ants.

    Cottonmouth vs. Rattler

I once read a story about how a cottonmouth escaped, and got into a large anaconda enclosure. The cottonmouth killed the anaconda. They're pretty tough snakes.

    silverfish and fire brats

I'm not sure if I have firebrats, or silverfish. I just collected them off of some old plywood. They do seem a lot more active now that I've raised the temperature. I was planning on feeding them to Skilton skinks. I'm guessing I won't have enough of them for that for a while though. Those...

    silverfish and fire brats

Anybody else tried breeding these things? So far I haven't had much luck. I've had around a dozen, or so adults since summer. I raised the temperature the other day. I'm thinking maybe that will help.

my pink mantis laid an ooth

That's cool some were pink tinted like their mom. I'm going to attempt to breed the pinkest ones. If there are any. Too bad you lost a lot of yours. I'm hoping I can separate them all right away when they hatch. The first ooth was laid like three, or four days before I posted. The second one I...
