I apologize for my ambiguous question. I was asking if when these do finally reach L8, they would be adult? I asked because my male just molted to adulthood, and last time I checked it was sold to me as L7.

I've heard too many horror stories of people leaving their animals with relatives and inlaws and friends, and coming back to discover the animals died in their care. The casters sounds like the best idea. Water bowl or mist intensely before leaving.
