SOLD Adult Male Ghost, Pay Shipping Only

SOLD Adult Male Ghost for Breeding (just pay for shipping) My female unexpectedly died. This male molted to adult on 2/29. He's not young but if you really need an adult male he might be worth a try? He appears healthy; is eating well, active and has no damaged body parts, etc. ...

    Stagmomantis limbata (?)

Total 42 so far.  Yeah! first hatch is especially great. I haven't lost many to escapes or casualties either... "knock on wood." They're eating both M. ff and D. hydei too (!) a little misting with water. Doing well at this point.

    Stagmomantis limbata (?)

Sarah, with good luck and hope you'll get some! These little nymphs made my day... small hatch of 29 total. Day 2: No further hatchlings. 2 casualties. Lots of ff eating last night! (Phew, I don't have springtails.) Today I misted the habitats with a little distilled water. I split them into 4...

    S. Limbata Ooth question

First Ooth laid Oct. 15 and second Nov. 3 From the mantidforum S. Limbata caresheet; "Ooths dont need diapause and hatch out after 2-3 months of incubation at 70-80 degrees"   I've kept them outside (Los Angeles) so the temps are not sufficient for hatching (thinking that's what would have...

Some molted skin stuck on Heirodula L4

Heroic nursing so far. The mantis equivalent of "bottle feeding" for 10 days, good work. But wait, so you haven't tried live food yet? or if you have, what does he do with live food? Live food might stimulate his natural prey and eating behaviors. Leave some live food in the enclosure at all...

Some molted skin stuck on Heirodula L4

Seems to me, the deciding factor is; can he eat? You don't have that information yet. So yes, get the magnifying glass and determine if he can actually use his mouth to eat something within a few days? He might get the old skin off trying to eat something? He might get the old skin off himself...

    Urgent: Mantis with mismolted leg

This is a weird hobby... Anyway, regarding the bent leg, no worries. Look at my messed up girl who fell post molt. Talk about bent legs? One leg bent is nothing! All her legs were messed up in some way or another. Mine ate fine, walked and hung around plus laid two Ooths.

Heirodula in poor health after molt

Another idea; it's getting colder this time of year, what temp. is he living in? More warmth will make insects more active.

Heirodula in poor health after molt

Try leaving the live flies in the cage and let him catch them on his own? I think moving prey can get them interested. It's how they eat food in the wild. Or you can try and cut the head off a fly and offer him the juicy part to his mouth, carefully touching his mandibles with the fresh flesh...

    Yen Saw - (US)

Excellent person to buy from. I bought an ooth in early Oct. His communication about delaying the shipping until the weather was cooler was very much appreciated.

    California Mantis?

Judging by the Ootheca it looks like a S. Limbata to my eyes. The S. Californica Ootheca looks different than what you have there. (I have both Oothecae at present.) This link is to the caresheet which has a picture of the S. Californica Ooth...

    Stagmomantis limbata (?)

She laid her second Ooth. But she is either very exhausted or dying? (A rear leg was caught in the dried Ooth again.) She's barely moving though still alive at this point. Update: She passed away this afternoon.
