How about waxmoths? You can order waxworms online and its easy to breed them in a big jar.

Try D.hydei, those are bigger then D. melanogaster. Hydei have a bit longer lifecycle also. My gongys eats everything that moves like a fly, no matter the size. They are about L4 now and take down house-, bb and greenbotles without any problems. Houseflies are a bit small for them now but they...

They push them out for mating, after the eggs are fertilized they pull it back to their body to incubate. (as far as I know)They push them out, nad the joung immediately hatch out, so you cant see the cocoon itself...i never did. :)

Fruit flies (FF). D. melanogaster for the smaller ones, and D. hydei for the bigger L1 nymphs are good. After somekinda flies... housefly, greenbottle, bluebottle flies in growing order :P Good luck.
