Yeah, I wondered about that too, Leann, but when I mentioned that to Joe, he said that it was probably because he needed feeding "before he got his full size back." I also thought that the snake looked more like an anaconda than a boa, but Joe said that boas look that way in northern Arizona. He took the snake off to feed it, and when he brought it back, it looked like this:

This seemed much closer to 17'; that's my son, David, helping me hold him, but now he looked more like a reticulated python than a boa. Still, Joe says that he always looks like that after feeding, and what do I know about snakes? :eek:

 
LOL! YOu're so funny, Phil! You duped me into clicking on those pics with your antics! I know YOU already know what they are, but for the noob, let me just say that the first one is a baby green anaconda and the second is a reticulated python. ;)

yeah, I was going to reply to this when it was first posted, but I knew that it had to be a goof of some sort. I'm glad I waited till now so I can see how it grew after feeding... :rolleyes:
