Hi Everyone!

My name's Keegan, I live in Buffalo, New York, and I am eleven . I am quite new to the keeping of mantises, but I hope to make it one of my major hobbies.

I currently have one chinese mantis (an L5 female), but I hope to get more exotic mantises as I get more experience. I have found and kept two chinese mantises before, which were L3 and an adult, but I was forced to let them go. I know that I will get LOADS of info from this site, so I look forward to being here!

You write well, especially for being eleven! Plenty of adults don't write as well as you did in your post (proper punctuation, grammar, etc.). Not that writing necessarily means much, some of the most accomplished and brilliant people I've met didn't write very well, but I'm always happy to see pre-teens expressing themselves well.

I forgot to mention that I had named my mantis Artemis (after the Greek goddess of the hunt).

Also, I had to let the first mantis go because I was four, and the second one go because my dog was about to die, so I decided that I could only worry about one thing at a time.
