I've had a long time interest in mantid. It wasn't until I moved to Las Vegas that I actually was able to encounter them in person (as opposed to textbooks and the like) and my interest in them has been burgeoning since. I have taken care of several over the past couple of years and are now moving into strong interest in breeding them, not only due to interest in them alone, but also as a side effect of my general interest in maintaining active projects to work on.
