Hierodula enclosure help

im going to get an adult hierodula female from mantidian soon. I have a few quesiotns about the kind of enclosure they need:

1. Do you need any substrate ( excelsior?)

2. Do the adult mantids moult?

Excelsior isn't a substrate. Adults don't need any substrate. Mist the inside of their enclosure lightly a few times a week. Adults don't molt. Molting is how they grow and adults are full grown.

mhm, you could use paper towels or sphagnum moss if you need a substrate, but as Rick mentioned it's totally unnecessary.
