Is a climbing stick and plants etc compulsory to be included?

Hi guys, is it compulsory to include climbing sticks and plants etc into the mantis tank?

It seems that my mantis has no problem climbing all over the place in the tank so i am wondering if there is a need to add a climbing stick.

I put a branch into the tank but the mantis has never used it.

I used to have plants but when i feed the mantis, the feeder sometimes would hide into/under the plants and my mantis cannot find it, so i removed it as well.

Will it be okay for my mantis ?

Also my mantis seems to poop alot!

Yeah, the poop is normal, haha. But yes, it's better to have at least a stick for them to climb on. They don't really need any crazy decorations or anything, so the stick should do.

Poop is a good sign. Means they ate and digested.
