At least twice a week, I go outside at the dead of night to search for Praying Mantids and other insects. Sometimes I find one, sometimes I don't. But what was your most exiting adventure outside while searching for Mantids? I, personally never buy Praying Mantids. I go outside and catch them myself. It's free, more fun, and exiting because you could also find other cool insects. Anyway, decribe your best adventures here in the search for Praying Mantids!

I never did it at night, but I do search for them in the light, I don' t like the wet grass, I was outside tonight with Abby my dog so she could go poo

and a small slug stuck to my ankle, I hate those things, yuck! So I think I will stay out of wet grass, and still not over my tick episode last year and every time I go out, it is all I think about, maybe I put all my baby mantis on me and let them catch the ticks!

But I digress!

Well the ones I buy you can't find in the backyard. ;) We have four species in the wild here but I never look for them at night. I can go into places I know and find tons of them. Mantids are easy to find if you know where to look.
