Mantis Noob here,, but I have noticed that my nymphs will spy a more industrial sibling catching fruitflies then sneak over and totally jack them for their food. Its funny to watch, but is that normal?

 
That is normal. They see the movement.

 
Just keep an eye out because they can sometimes get a little tangled and will nibble on each other a bit. When they were young, my gongylus were always stealing from each other. :)
