Need Help with my Double Shield..L6 . Pro please Come ...

This Double Shield has been like this after L1 coming out from Ooth .... I was Hoping Every Molt it will be fixed slowly over time after each moult ... But it has moulted 5 times now still look the same ... I'm pretty sure it will not change back when it turns in to adult ... I think its a Female .... Has anyone seem something like this before ??? and do you think it has a chance to mate and laid healthy Ooth. Or due to the look of the tail is over ........

Wow I have never seen anything like this, I wish your little one luck! As for mating, would you really want to risk mating in the first place in case the issue is do to poor genetics?

Just looks like a malformed segment...I wouldn't really worry about it. If shes gone 5 molts without any trouble and acts normal, eats fine, then there really shouldn't be an issue. I also wouldn't worry about genetics affecting any offspring...it's a 1 in a million chance of anything happening like that to even just one of the nymphs.

Ya I got 2 looks like that.... They do everything fine other then the weird tail.... Guess I'll take them to adult and see how they go ..

It should be nothing to worry about. It's just a simple deformity. She should be fine
